R.A.F.A. 381 Bowls Club Booze Busters 2011
The Booze Busters competition started off well with six teams competing this year, all aiming to win the great prize of Booze Busters Champions for 2011.

This year once again with a break from tradition the teams were given the names of 'wines' with the following teams:
Chablis: - Tony Wells, Roy Donaldson, Annegret Moore, Hilary Ayton, Beryl Burridge.
RIOJA: - Norman Moore, Janet Fulbrook, Pat Phillips, Barbara Piedot, George Booker.
MERLOT: - Tom Gaskin, John Jackson, Fred Hopkins, Julian Stacy, Beryl Charlesworth.
CHIANTI: - Len Hall, Gordon Williams, Barbara Reardon, Barbara Butt, Dave Batcock.
CHENIN: - Penny Jones, Mary Ray, Trevor Moore, Mary Donaldson, Frank Williams.
SHIRAZ: - Chris Ayton, Alan Charlesworth, Don Donaldson, Ray Fulbrookr, Joan Wells.
There followed 10 weeks of competitive bowling with only one wet Friday night which became drier as the evening progressed. A few hic-ups occurred with the odd player not turning up on the correct evening and a few frantic telephone calls were needed to 'chivvy' players up.
Well done Tony Wells for running such a good competition, and we look forward to having you at the helm in 2012.
