RAFA are hoping for a good season with Chris Ayton(Chairman), Beryl & Janet (Captains) and John Jackson (Vice Chairman and Vice Captain) at the helm, enjoying their involvement in the BML League, Tuesday Triples, and the Booze Buster's League on Friday nights, which this year will be very ably run by Tony Wells.
A group of twenty three players are looking forward to a trip to Portugal at the end of September when hopefully they will defend their position of 'Portuguese Open' winners from earlier this year. >>>...
Bognor Ladies would welcome new members, novices, or seasoned players to join them and free coaching will be available for men and women, throughout the season. Notices to inform when coaching will be commencing will be posted on the notice board at Waterloo Square at the start of the season.
R.A.F.A. will be holding their fair share of matches at Waterloo Square including the Open ' Jim Lorimer Wing's Appeal ' Day with proceeds going to the RAFA Club towards their fund raising throughout the year which also encompasses street collections and collections held at Goodwood Races. This is a great way of helping our armed forces with their fight against disability and rehabilitation.
R.A.F.A. will also have their Mazda Sponsored Open Day when clubs from all over the area enter teams as well as individuals making up teams to compete on the day. They are ably assisted by Rosie and her staff in the kitchen making sure all competitors are well fed and the bar staff of the R.A.F.A. Club who keep everyone well lubricated.
