Welcome to Bowls at Bognor, here you can find out what goes on in the bowling clubs at Waterloo Square, Bognor Regis, West Sussex. We have 2 local clubs Bognor Regis B.C. & R.A.F.A. 381 B.C. and some links to other bowling clubs and associations.
A fine start to the season with a great turnout from both clubs, both greens full and lots of fun had by all. The Mayor starting us of by bowling the first wood, not quite getting on the jack, but wishing us the best of luck for the coming season.
The bowling last season atWaterloo Square was great with both Bognor Regis B.C. and R.A.F.A. 381 B.C. playing a great deal of games but somehow not quite getting the results they hoped for. Therefore we look forward to 2009 and hopefully achieving our goals.
Both R.A.F.A. 381 and Bognor Bowls Club are always looking to recruit new members andSussex County B.A. has plublished a very interesting fact sheet on recruitment to assist clubs in this matter.
So if you are in interested in playing bowls and would like to join ethier or both clubs, so when you are passing through Waterloo Square we will be only too happy to answer any questions that you might have in regard to joining.

Royal Chelsea Pensioners visit to Tunisia
Our trip to Tunisia with the Royal Chelsea Pensioners in March 2009 proved a great success, with trips arranged to visit the British and American war graves plus an invitation from the British Ambassodor to have afternoon tea at his residence. when we were given the opportunity of meeting his family and various English and American personnel who helped make the afternoon very special and one that we shall remember for a long time.
We also had some great friendly bowling matches between the Royal Chelsea Pensioners and the Mercian Bridge and Bowling holiday groups where 'valuable' prizes were won and mementos exchanged between groups to commemorate the occassion.
Unfortunately this year the Pensioners will not be coming to play bowls against RAFA, but we look forward to seeing them again in 2010.
This winter bowling holidays have been going well
with trips to Tunisia, Spain, Malta & in the UK.

About 70 Bridge & Bowlers wil staying during January at The Sol Don Pedro hotel, which is located in a select, peaceful tourist area of Torremolinos, on the seaside promenade of El Bajondillo Beach.
This forms part of the Don Hotel complex along with Sol Don Pablo. 800 m from the city centre, 5 km. from Puerto Marina in Benalmadena, 7 km. from the airport and 51 km. from Puerto Banus in Marbella.
